Live online coding classes for kids and teens ages 6–18
Coding with Chester teaches kids and teens to code in live online classes, either private 1-on-1 or in small groups of 3–6 students. Classes are led by founder Eyas Rashid, a senior software engineer with a BS in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Washington. Chester, his real cat, is the brand mascot and often joins lessons.
There is no single fixed curriculum. Every student starts with a free discovery call, and the path is built around their current skills and the projects they want to make. New concepts are introduced when a project needs them.

What parents say
My 8-year-old daughter has been taking weekly one-on-one online coding lessons with Eyas for the past year, and she loves it. The individual attention has been valuable since it allows her to move at her own pace and keeps her engaged with projects she's excited about. She's proud of each project she creates and also feels much more confident and independent on the computer. As a parent, I appreciate the immediate feedback I receive on what she worked on during her lesson and what comes next so I can ask her about it.
We've been enrolled for 18 months now and the progression has been amazing. He started with Scratch and is now building Python games. We see this as his computer science education, not just a class.
My son absolutely loves his class! We've never heard him participate so much in anything. After class, he typically spends the rest of the day playing in Scratch to work on what he learned. Thank you!
Instructor is engaging and patient. My son looks forward to class every week.
My son enjoys this class so much. His teacher is fantastic. In addition to learning, I love hearing him laugh out loud during his class. We can't express just how grateful we are for this great instruction.
My son is really enjoying his lessons with Eyas. I believe that the one on one he gets along with Eyas' expertise is what is helping him improve lesson by lesson.
